Our community choir celebrated the end of 2025 by entertaining the Northampton festive public with a series of Christmas performances, delighting our members and our toe-tapping, sing-along audiences. We began on Sunday 30th November at the Duston Christmas Festival, which featured a fantastic craft fair and was packed with stalls of beautiful, locally crafted goods from independent sellers. Performing in such a vibrant and busy festive atmosphere made it a really special start to our Winter performances. This was followed by a performance at the Whitehills Pub on Sunday 7th December, where the whole pub swelled with sound and song. The audience loved it and eagerly joined in — they were singing and dancing throughout, including some wonderful moments from little ones joining in the festive fun. Our final performance took place on Saturday 13th December at Northampton Railway Station. It was such a treat for passengers both arriving and leaving through the barriers — seeing their faces light up as they passed by was truly heart-warming. Some even sang along while trying to find their train tickets to put through the barrier! Even the station manager was glued to our performance, singing along, while others danced along as they waited. Huge thanks go to Charlotte and Bethan, whose conducting and musical direction transformed the repertoire and brought fresh, exciting interpretations to the songs. Their creative leadership helped us deliver fantastic renditions, and we absolutely nailed Mr Blue Sky, along with several other favourites. As always, a big thank you also to all the volunteers who work tirelessly week after week to set everything up and support the choir. We’re now looking ahead to the new term, which starts on Sunday 11th January, and anyone from the community is very welcome to come along and join us. It was a joyful end to the term and a real privilege to share our music with the community
