WeLCOME

Northampton Sings! is a community choir for Northampton and is open to all.  The aim of the choir is simple - have fun singing together, then take our voices to various locations around Northampton and the surrounding area so we can spread a little joy. Not sure if your voice is up to it?  If you love singing, then that is all you need.  We don't hold auditions for the choir and no one is going to make you sing a solo.

All you need to do is turn up to a rehearsal.  You are welcome to turn up, try your first week for free and see what you think - hopefully you will enjoy the warm welcome and have fun too.  Check out the term dates page to see when we are due to meet.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As they say - practice makes perfect. Northampton Sings! is a choir that believes in doing things well and that is going to take practice.  We want to strike the right balance between working hard to create a good sound and having fun.
 
We generally learn songs by rote so there is no need for you to be able to read music. The parts and words will be available from the website for you to download and the words are projected on the screen at rehearsal. Generally we sing pop and rock songs from the last 40 years so hopefully you will get to sing some songs you know and maybe find some new favourites.
 
When you arrive, please sign in, and maybe catch up with some friends.  We will start rehearsal at 7pm and finish promptly at 8.30pm.

Northampton Sings! is a community choir run by Charlotte, Rosie, Bethan, Kath and Jo - we are all very different but we love all kinds of music and singing in a choir.  ​
